Generation 4 heroes

Rosa, Alcar, and Margot — the first all-Mythic generation, Widget tier upgrades, and what to prepare for Gen 5.

Generation 4 arrives around server Day 190 and represents a step-change from the previous generations. Rosa (Archer), Alcar (Infantry), and Margot (Cavalry) each bring a distinct combat kit.

TL;DR

  • Rosa is the most F2P-accessible Gen 4 hero — available via Hero Roulette and the Swordland Showdown shop
  • Margot is accessible via Hall of Heroes and Swordland Showdown shop — plan your event participation around her availability
  • All three heroes are a power jump over Gen 3; even partial investment at 2–3★ outperforms maxed Gen 3 heroes in most scenarios
  • Start hoarding Mythic shards now for Gen 5 — Vivian (Gen 5 Archer) is the highest-priority shard target in the entire game

Investment priority

  1. Rosa — most accessible F2P Archer; Roulette and Swordland Showdown shop
  2. Margot — Cavalry slot; Hall of Heroes + Swordland Showdown
  3. Alcar — Infantry slot; harder to access F2P but worth pursuing once Rosa and Margot are established

Maintain minimum 5,000 Infantry in absolute troop count regardless of percentage.

TL;DR

  • Push all three Gen 4 heroes to 3★ minimum; this is the generation where Widget power becomes the primary differentiator in competitive play
  • Alcar’s invulnerability window (Glorious Mark) is one of the strongest defensive skills in the game — essential for Castle Battle rally leaders
  • Margot’s dodge kit (Parry + Subterfuge) and AoE make her a strong Cavalry replacement for Petra at this tier
  • Rosa’s debuff immunity and healing reduction (–60% enemy healing) add counterpick utility in high-level PvP
  • Begin preparing for Gen 5 simultaneously — Vivian is the highest-priority shard target in the game

Investment priority

  1. Alcar — most impactful Gen 4 Infantry; invulnerability Window + damage amplifier is strong in all combat modes
  2. Margot — replaces Petra as Cavalry lead at this tier
  3. Rosa — Archer slot; her debuff kit adds PvP utility on top of standard damage

Maintain minimum 5,000 Infantry in absolute troop count regardless of percentage.

Hero roster

Rosa

Class: Archer | Rarity: Mythic | Accessibility: Hero Roulette, Swordland Showdown shop

A utility-heavy Archer. Her Battle Focus skill cleanses debuffs, grants +7% Attack, and provides 5 seconds of debuff immunity — strong counterpick in high-level PvP where debuffs are prevalent. Her Swoon Chakra reduces enemy Attack Speed and cuts enemy healing by 60%, which matters in prolonged fights against healing-heavy compositions.

Key skills:

Alcar

Class: Infantry | Rarity: Mythic | Accessibility: Hero Rally, Daily Deals, Strongest Governor, Kingdom of Power events

The most impactful Gen 4 defensive hero. Glorious Mark provides 2 seconds of full invulnerability, which can negate burst damage windows and preserve troop count in critical moments. During Glorious Mark, Second Wind heals 42% Attack per second. Boneshatter amplifies incoming damage to enemies by 20% after hitting, which compounds with all other damage sources in the rally.

Key skills:

Margot

Class: Cavalry | Rarity: Mythic | Accessibility: Hall of Heroes, Swordland Showdown shop

A burst-damage Cavalry hero with strong dodge mechanics. Ambush deals 420% AoE damage — the highest raw AoE hit in Gen 4. Parry gives 25% passive dodge chance and Subterfuge extends that to 20% additional dodge chance, making her significantly harder to kill than Petra in sustained combat. She replaces Petra as the Cavalry rally lead at Gen 4 for players who have her at sufficient star level.

Looking ahead: Generation 5

Gen 5 arrives around server Day 283 with Vivian (Archer), Long Fei (Infantry), and Thrud (Cavalry). Vivian is the highest-priority shard target in the game for both F2P and Spenders — her passive debuff (+25% enemy damage taken) is a permanent amplifier that compounds with everything else in your rally.
