The six Masters

What each Master does — expertise, skills, and the event or system they serve — with a quick verdict for F2P and Spender.

There are six recruitable Masters. Each has one Expertise — an always-on passive that scales automatically as your relationship with them grows — and four sub-skills that unlock at relationship stages and are leveled with Manuscripts. Every Master is tuned to a specific system or event, so your best Masters are the ones that match the events you actually play.

The skill values below are the maxed numbers; each one scales up from a smaller value as you level it. Each Master also lists the order to level its four skills. For how the two leveling meters and KvK timing work, see getting started.

Valora — Bear Hunter

Serves Bear Hunt. The first Master you recruit, and the only one you get for free through daily Journey Supplies.

F2P

Level in this order: Weapon Obsession → Leader by Example → Dance of the Hunt → Savage Advantage. Take the free Forgehammers and Enhancement XP Parts first; the capacity skills matter less when you aren’t hosting big Bear Hunt rallies.

Spender

Level in this order: Dance of the Hunt → Savage Advantage → Weapon Obsession → Leader by Example. Rally and deployment capacity raise your Bear Hunt score directly, so lead with them, then bank the gear economy.

Verdict. Weapon Obsession is the F2P prize — free Forgehammers every Bear Hunt is a permanent hero-gear economy. Spenders lean on the two capacity skills to raise Bear Hunt scores. Everyone gets Valora; the only question is how far to push her.

Pan — Palace Administrator

Serves your economy broadly, not one event. The quiet MVP of the whole system.

Level in this order: Falconer → Ways and Means → Master Architect → Good Steward. Falconer’s Intel-and-Truegold and Ways and Means’ Mystery Shop widgets are the cheap daily payouts worth maxing first; the construction cut and Good Steward round him out afterward. Same order for both tracks.

Verdict. Pan compounds daily and much of his value comes from the Expertise plus low-cost skills, so he pays out without deep Manuscript investment. That makes him the strongest F2P target after Valora, and still valuable for spenders as a passive-income floor.

Roman — Arena Champion

Serves the Arena. A specialist — enormous if Arena is your daily routine, skippable if it isn’t.

F2P

Level in this order: Crowd Favorite → Winner Take All → One Desire → Teacher of Champions. Unlock the 50% Arena Shop discount, add the token boost if you keep going, then stop — Roman’s ranking skills aren’t worth F2P Manuscripts.

Spender

Level in this order: One Desire → Winner Take All → Crowd Favorite → Teacher of Champions. Lead with the +20% hero Arena bonus for ranking, then the extra tokens and shop discount for value.

Verdict. Roman’s investment curve is steep and aimed at competitive Arena ranking. F2P accounts should unlock Crowd Favorite for the shop discount and otherwise leave him shallow; spenders who live in the Arena push One Desire and Winner Take All.

Wilson — Royal Herald

Serves alliance events. Notable for granting no combat stats at all — he’s a pure points-and-rewards multiplier.

Level in this order: there’s no universal order — lead with the skill for the alliance event you rank in most (Championship Publicity, Mobilization Master, Viking Bounty, or Duel Sponsorship), then broaden to the others as your Manuscripts allow.

Verdict. Wilson rewards players who chase alliance-event rankings and rewards. If you’re an active alliance-event participant his four skills each add up across a season; if you play those events casually, he’s low priority.

Guinevere — Queen of Holy Sword

Serves Swordland Showdown and Swordland Summit League — and only those.

Level in this order: Royal Guidance → Merciful Heart → Call of Round Table → Max Efficiency. Stack the +30% Lethality/Health on top of the Expertise’s Attack/Defense first, then the free heal, then rally capacity; Relic Coins last.

Verdict. A Swordland powerhouse whose combat buffs are fenced entirely to those events. Prioritize her if Swordland is where your kingdom competes; otherwise she waits.

Cassia — Battle Master

Serves rally combat generally. Her buffs apply to the rallies she leads — she is not a global, always-on account buff.

Level in this order: Inspiring Mobilization (rally capacity) → Commando (Lethality/Health) → Firepower to Win (Attack/Defense) → Recruiter In Chief (extra soldiers) → Horn of Valor (squad size). Fill the rally with more troops first, then the combat multipliers, with the one-time recruitment and the squad-size passive after.

Verdict. Cassia is the general-purpose rally-lead combat Master. Where Valora only helps Bear Hunt rallies and Guinevere only Swordland, Cassia buffs any rally you lead — that breadth is why she carries by far the largest investment curve. But her ceiling is gated on actually leading rallies. If you’re a rally lead she’s a top spender target; if you mostly join other people’s rallies, she drops down your list.

A note for F2P readers

Four of these Masters (Roman, Wilson, Guinevere, Cassia) are built around either heavy spending or a specific competitive event. As a F2P account, treat them as situational: recruit them when your kingdom age and playstyle line up, but concentrate your Emblems and Manuscripts on Valora and Pan first.
