Power in Kingshot explained

Power broken down by component — Troop, Building, Tech, Governor Gear, and Hero — and what feeds each.

Your total Power isn’t a single calculation — it’s the sum of five subscores, each fed by a different in-game system.

Troop Power

Comes from your trained army. Two inputs feed it: the number of troops you have, and the level of those troops. Both scale, so more troops and higher-tier troops both push the number up.

Troop guides Composition and training priorities.

Building Power

Comes from the levels of the buildings in your city. Every upgraded building contributes, but non-resource buildings contribute more per level than resource buildings. Levels in military buildings, walls, and infrastructure move Building Power harder than the same levels in farms, sawmills, or iron mines.

Building guides Upgrade order and infrastructure decisions.

Tech Power

Comes from research. Every tech you’ve completed adds to this subscore based on which research it is. Unlike Troop Power, Tech Power only goes up — researched techs aren’t lost.

Research guides Tech tree priorities and pacing.

Governor Gear Power

Comes from two adjacent systems on your governor: equipment and charms. Upgrading governor gear or upgrading charms both feed this subscore.

Governor gear & charms How both systems work and where they fit.

Hero Power

The most layered subscore. Every hero you’ve invested in contributes, and on each hero, all five of these inputs feed the number:

Total Hero Power is the sum of every invested hero’s individual contribution across all five inputs.

Hero guides Investment, ascension, and shard sourcing.
